Muddy

I keep trying to write a post about what this past year has been like for our family. But each time the wheels start spinning and I think back it makes me feel a little sick to my stomach. I mean we have all arrived relatively unscathed on the other side, but it most of it still feels to raw to recap. I feel like I need to write about it in one big chunk, if only for myself, but I'm stuck. It will come when it comes.

In the mean time I would like to thank all the friends and family who found nice ways to recognize my birthday while we were busy helping Harper celebrate hers. I turned, gulp, 32 yesterday. And I'm officially old enough that I have to stop and think about it when I'm asked my age. Tonight I celebrated my birthday with my husband, kids, and in-laws. We just relaxed, ate party leftovers and enjoyed some football. I received some great gifts this weekend: CDs, DVDs, a massage certificate (for an entire hour!), and -my new guilty pleasure- a Nintendo DS Lite and some of the brain games. Pure fun. My family takes great care of me.

For the record, you're still a few years younger than me. Bitch. :)

Happy Birthday, Kels! I have to think for a second, too, when people ask my age. And Brian actually turns to me when people ask him, he really can't remember his own age.

And I got the book - THANK YOU! You're the best. Let me know if/when you could use it again.

Happy belated birthday! I knew yours was really close to Harper's...but I'm terrible about remembering the actual date.

I'm glad not everyone forgot...even when you're 32 it's nice to be remembered ;)

Happy Birthday Kelsey! I hope you had a wonderful day. It looks like our little one's birthday might be right around my own (as so far he is delaying his arrival). And I love the picture of Rebound's "work" on Harper's birthday cake! :))))) Happy Birthday and the furry jumping spider also sends his love to you too!

Happy Birthday!

I stopped remembering how old I am after I turned 27. (In my mind I'm still 26.) And my husband is worse that me.

Sounds like you had a lovely birthday. I'm glad you received so many nice gifts!

Happy birthday to you and Harper.

Hope the deli roll was delicious. You inspired me to make one -- which I did last night, and we also ate it while watching football.

love you, Tracy

Happy belated birthday, Kelsey! I actually meant to email you the day of, but things got away from me. You are still a young lady in my book. Glad you got to enjoy the day, and I am happy to hear that Harper's party went well, too. You've inspired me...I will post a look back at all of the birthday cakes I've made, too.

Talk to you soon.
