Pay It Forward: Puzzle Edition

Ooh, August is almost over and I owe the blogosphere another pay it forward contest!

Here is the beautiful crayon roll I received from Shannon:

Harper hasn't seen it yet and I'm debating whether to squirrel it away and save it for her birthday in November.

I won the pay it forward contest Shannon hosted in July and now it's my turn to host another contest.

Here are the rules:

1) You enter by leaving a comment on this post. (If you are shy about commenting you can always email me!) All entries must be in by noon, Eastern Time, on Wednesday, August 27th. (That's the first day of school!)

2) I'll use a random number generator to pick a winner.

3) The winner will host her own pay it forward contest and share the love! (You can still enter if you don't have a blog, I'm happy to host your contest here.)

So what's the prize?

This time around the winner will receive a box full of puzzle books, mostly for grown-ups. You know, word searches, crossword puzzles, Sudoku, things of that nature. A workout for your brain, mailed right to your front door!

Now that summer is ending, I'll keep a Sudoku book in the car to use when I'm waiting for school to release Harper. Not sure what to say in the comments? Just tell me what your favorite kind of puzzle is! Go!

Well I am a sucker for a good word search book. I even took one to the hospital when I had Ryan!

BTW - I am so jealous that Harper is going to preschool. Wesley refuses to potty train and can't go to preschool until he does. Bummer!

Suduko rocks- almost as much as your blog! But for group fun, crosswords are the "U.N. Food Drop" (as opposed to the 'bomb'). Of course, these days, I'm lucky to catch up with your blog... the puzzles are a definite luxury!

I know this isn't the kind of puzzle you are referring to, but I luuurve jigsaw puzzles. On vacation, with the whole family working on it together. Ah... Brian and I even did one together on our honeymoon. Can we say Dorks???

I love suduko, although I like to do the easy or medium ones because it makes me feel smart, or like I'm keeping my brain active. The hard ones just make me feel like I need to go back to school to refresh my brain cells :)

I'm not much of a puzzle person, but I do enjoy a great game of Scrabble. And I love the website freerice.com. So, basically, I enjoy puzzles (or games) that deal with words. I know this is incredibly surprising from an English teacher.

And I was so excited to see the crayon roll from Shannon. I still have a crayon roll with my name embroidered on it. My grandmother gave it to me when I was young, so I cherish it.

Im here by way of Swistle

I love, love sudoku. I spend ridiculous amounts of time trying to be faster at the facebook sudoko application even though it is cheap and there are tricks to those ones. Good idea about keeping it in the car! I hate those waiting times, expecially in the winter.

I am a sudoku freak. I try to buy a new book for each trip I take. Just wish I took more interesting trips....

My brain cells are rapidly deteriorating so any help in that area would be fabulous.
