Can you believe it was the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL here today? Me neither!
This summer flew - faster than most. Some of that probably had to do with the fact that I was on contract until June 12 so my summer was short. Exactly three weeks shorter than Harper's...
Speaking of Harper, look who's in third grade:
Do you need a moment to let that sink in?
There is so, so much to discuss. And I will have some time to do it beginning Friday when Michael starts kindergarten. (I'll give you another moment to let that sink in...)
So, a friend left a question on Facebook that made me realize I never told all of you that I'm not going to back to work this year. As you can imagine I have a LOT to say about that. But not tonight.
Because of a supplemental program Michael is doing in the afternoon I am actually going to have my two only children in school for a full day every day of the week. That is a lot of solo hours my friends.
What's new with you?

I can't wait to hear the story.....
It sounds like you will have lots to tell- looking forward to catching up :)
3rd grader?! Harper looks so grown up and ready to tackle anything that comes her way. As for full day kindergarten- it sounds like a crazy long day but our district is all full day K and both my boys settled in quickly. I hope Michael is excited to start school :)
pregnant with minor complications indicating that I slow down. Mine are almost 5 and 2 right now. No K for us yet, but when we do go it will be all day, they don't do half day here :(
I'm not sure how you are feeling about not working, but I, for one, look forward to more blog posts as a bonus feature? Can you believe that our boys are starting kindergarten?
Harper looks SO grown up. Our school started today.
Oh, and I meant to write earlier this summer and let you know that the mail the mail that you sent was so touching and I really appreciated you sharing it. Thank you.
Oh my goodness Harper looks so grown up and pretty! I wonder if Michael is also looking quite a bit older? Really hope 3rd grade is a good experience for H.
(and also, what up?? it seems the 80's really are back. I wore side pony tails and neon colors in elementary school! crazy.)
i am feeling some serious jealousy! we should catch up soon. hope you're well.

Oh my goodness, your kids are growing up so fast!
I, too, am anxious to hear about the not working this year. You'll enjoy the kid-free time. I had two years of it. (Well, really just the one to enjoy before a rough pregnancy, then baby came along.) I loved it. I thought I'd have more free time, but I found more things to get involved in for me. It was great. I look forward to it again, but it will be a while.
