Ah, Internets...
It is time to blow the cobwebs out of the corners here at Midwest Mom. I thought I would just blink the lights and let you know that we are here, all is well, etc.
Are people even blogging anymore? Seems sort of old-timey, what with all the kids on Twitter and who knows what else these days.
Harper's summer began May 23, but mine did not start until June 13. So here it is the 4th of July and I feel like I'm just now un-clinching from the crazy school year we had.
It has rained all day here. We had the in-laws over for dinner. Matt was a trooper and grilled in the rain. Then we played cards and everyone went to bed early.
How are you?

We've missed reading about the family! Hope you are enjoying summer!
I hoped you'd come back for the summer! I made a big announcement on my blog yesterday. There are TONS of people still blogging. A lot of garbage on twitter and facebook, too many teens and tweens with foul language. I use them to enter giveaways (twitter) and connect with friends and family far away (facebook). My blog basically has become by invite only. Some more cloth diaper people drop by when I give something away, but I have the same 10 or so readers and 1 or 2 commenters a week. Blah. My goal is to blog every day this year. December might be tough!
Glad to read and I'm trying to blog!! I still think it's better than FB and I refuse to "tweet" LOL. Would love to hear about your summer activities :)
I'm so bummed I will miss your gang on your pass-through. Life gets busy, and it gets harder to blog. I'll be doing a very part-time teaching gig in the fall and with my planning I find I don't have a whole lot of time to blog. Oh, and being the concierge for the children. Safe travels, friend!
