Yup.
I got a teaching job for the fall.
Our summer is going to be short. School starts for me on August 13th (no students until the 20th though) and for my kids on August 14th.
We'll spend time in Wisconsin, Minnesota (just Matt and I), and Michigan this summer. There will be swimming, gymnastics, bowling (!), basketball, and misc. day camp. We're maaaaybe (I hope!) going to swing a weekend in St. Louis. On Wednesday a swing set is being professionally installed in our backyard. I'm taking two online classes to keep my teaching license current. I'll transition my Vice President/Volunteer Coordinator roles with the PTO to the new person and try to get a handle on co-President duties.
We're doing summer fast and furious this year.
Come on Summer! We're ready! |

Congrats on the job! And what a busy busy summer! My kid won't start school until September 8th...so we have a super long summer ahead of us!
Congratulations!
Congratulations on the job!
Wow! So much great stuff- it is going to be a whirlwind but for good reason. Good luck on the job and can't wait to hear about your summer adventures- you know, when you blog in your free time ;)
Holy crap, congratulations and good luck! Don't forget to breathe! :)
Congrats, Kelsey. I want to hear all about your job. I'm so excited/scared about my own it would be comforting to hear what you are up to transitioning.
I hope you will find time to update us on how you (and everyone) is handling your job! Maybe I will take inspiration from it, since I've been thinking more and more about going back.
