Well THAT Was Interesting

To sum up:

We went to Michigan to look for a house.

We talked to people about schools.

We saw Matt's new office building.

We said, "Actually, Ohio feels like home -why fix what isn't broken?"

We decided not to move.*

And if that isn't enough to knock you out of your chair, today Matt ran over to our neighborhood elementary school (in Ohio) and registered our daughter for kindergarten.

So, you know, it's been a busy few days.

*Obviously the entire story is slightly more complicated than that, but you'll have to take what you can get, I'm spent.

Good news for Jonah C. then! :)

Oh, Kelsey. I can't imagine the whirlwind all of this has been?!? So is your job continuing as planned then? Wow. I hope you are happy about the decision and relieved a little bit?

I guess silly babies with Jonah C. just might be meant to be! Oh, I just ready Hillary or Ryan's comment, so clearly my thinking wasn't original. But we'll keep it. And glad we get to keep you guys, too!

I LOVE you guys. I love that you had something in mind that you thought was best for your family, but upon pursuing it, felt in your heart that something else was better, and followed that instead. That takes courage, I think, as much (if not more) courage than to make a big change. It can be hard to change your mind. But I love that you decided to do what you felt was right.

I should be around all week, maybe we can chat on your way home from school one day?

Love you chica.

I hope when you aren't spent you can explain in more detail. If you ever do decide to move, why don't you try Louisville?? I would seriously love to be friends with you in person.

I am interested in knowing how you just can "choose to stay" in Ohio. I need to learn, so I can give lessons to my husband...it seems like when his company tells him to move, he just does it ;)

I'm happy for you guys. You've built a wonderful life in Ohio, and even though it would follow you to MI, this way you can just keep plugging along :)

Can't wait to hear more of this story...

whoa! I am ALSO waiting in line for the full story. I think I might be confused about Matt's actual day job anyway (teacher? office bldg?). stay warm & get rested (not just for our story-listening pleasure, either!).

Yea! Ohio gets to keep a good one! I'm glad you all seem okay with it and obviously the kids will be happy. It can't have been an easy decision - or was it?
